The Westerly Multicultural Committee (MCC) invites the community to come together for Neighbor Dayon Saturday, May 18, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. This year’s celebration honors Neighbor Day founder Mary Jane DiMaio and embraces the idea that while we have all made our homes in Westerly, we come from places and cultures across the world that shape who we are.
In a special tribute to Mary Jane DiMaio and her extended family, we will reflect on her vision of fostering connection, welcoming new neighbors, and strengthening community bonds. This year’s Neighbor Day is not just a celebration of Westerly—it is an opportunity to honor our diverse roots, share our cultural stories, and celebrate the common bonds that unite us.
