Join us for a captivating afternoon with some of the most compelling thriller writers! Enjoy lunch and soft drinks as you listen to a lively panel discussion moderated by Deborah Goodrich Royce, author of Finding Mrs. Ford, Ruby Falls, Reef Road, and Best Boy. She will be joined by fellow authors Diane Josefowicz, Wendy Walker, Lauren Willig, & Laura Zigman for an engaging conversation about writing, suspense, and storytelling.
Following the discussion, guests will have the opportunity to meet the authors and have books signed; tickets also include a copy of one featured book of your choice, with other titles available for purchase from Martin House Books during the event.
Expect an afternoon filled with thrilling conversation, delicious lunch, and the chance to connect with your favorite authors in an intimate and inspiring setting.
Deborah Goodrich Royce’s latest book BEST BOY is a USA Today and Indie Press bestseller and Reef Road, a national bestseller, was named one of the best books of 2023 by Kirkus Reviews. She began as an actress on All My Children and in multiple films, before transitioning to the role of story editor at Miramax Films. With her husband, Chuck, Deborah restored the Avon Theatre, Ocean House Hotel, Deer Mountain Inn, United Theatre, and Martin House Books. Her featured book is BEST BOY.
Diane Josefowicz is the author of Guardians & Saints: Stories, L’Air du Temps (1985), and Ready, Set, Oh: A Novel. She is also the author, with Jed Z. Buchwald, of two histories of Egyptology: The Zodiac of Paris and The Riddle of the Rosetta. She serves as managing editor of the Victorian Web, the internet’s oldest and largest website devoted to Victoriana. A graduate of Brown University, she holds a PhD in History of Science from MIT and an MFA in fiction from Columbia University. She lives in Providence, Rhode Island. Wendy Walker is the USA Today bestselling author of psychological suspense novels. Her work has been translated into over twenty-three foreign languages and has been optioned for television and film. Wendy also writes original audio novels including the number one best seller, The Room Next Door. She is a former attorney and investment banker, and as a teenager, she trained for competitive figure skating. Her next thriller, Ten Years Gone, will be published by Thomas & Mercer in February 2027. Her featured book is BLADE.
Lauren Willig is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than twenty-five works of fiction, including Band of Sisters, the RITA Award-winning Pink Carnation series, and five novels co-written with Beatriz Williams and Karen White. Her books have been translated into over twenty languages and chosen for Book of the Month Club, Good Morning America, and CBS Book Club. An alumna of Yale University, she has a graduate degree in history from Harvard and a JD from Harvard Law School. She lives in New York City, with her husband, small children and vast quantities of coffee. Her featured book is What Happens at Nightfall.
Laura Zigman is the author of Small World (a New York Times Group Text pick and Editor's Choice), Separation Anxiety, Animal Husbandry (which was made into the movie "Someone Like You," starring Hugh Jackman and Ashley Judd), Dating Big Bird, Her, and Piece of Work. She has collaborated on several works of non-fiction--including Eddie Izzard's New York Times bestseller, Believe Me--and has been a contributor to the New York Times and other publications. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her featured book is THE AUTHOR WEEKEND.
