Ocean House Brings Ludwig Bemelmans to Life with Immersive Culinary Dinner & Curator-Led Talk

Ocean House in Watch Hill is bringing a bit of literary and culinary indulgence to the Rhode Island coast this April with a two-day celebration honoring Madeline creator Ludwig Bemelmans.

 

On April 18–19, Ocean House will host an immersive dinner experience, Ludwig Bemelmans Dinner: The Intrepid Gourmet, followed by an illustrated lecture, Loving Ludwig: The Life & Art of Ludwig Bemelmans, both led by Hilary Pierce, Curator of The Bemelmans Gallery at Ocean House. The programming draws inspiration from Bemelmans’ storied life - from his time at The Ritz-Carlton New York to his Parisian bistro La Colombe - celebrating the wit, wanderlust and dining adventures that shaped his creative legacy.
