Let's Build It! Building Block Workshop

Architect Stephen W. Schwartz returns to the Stonington Community Center (COMO) Gym with a large-scale map of the Stonington Borough for the second annual Let’s Build It! Building Block Workshop, presented in collaboration with Historic Stonington.

Taking place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 1–3 p.m., this hands-on, family-friendly event invites participants to work in teams of four to create a giant 3D LEGO-style model of iconic Stonington landmarks and local businesses. Using building blocks, residents, visitors, and friends of Stonington will come together for an afternoon of creativity, teamwork, and fun—celebrating the Borough’s character and history in a playful and engaging way.

Local businesses are encouraged to get involved by sending a team to join in the fun and see their storefronts and favorite places represented in the collaborative model. The workshop is about imagination, connection, and enjoying the experience of building together as a community.
