Description
There is only one place where you can see wild beluga whales in the United States: Alaska. The Cook Inlet population is the smallest and most endangered beluga whale population out of the five that call Alaska home. Each year, NOAA invites the public to Cook Inlet, AK for a day of monitoring and counting the population to help conserve, protect and monitor this endangered population. Without needing a passport, visit Mystic Aquarium on September 17 with a general admission ticket to learn about the importance of this population, the conservation efforts of this species at Mystic Aquarium and beyond, and what you can do to help these beautiful sea creatures!
