Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and/or Instructor of Riders with Disabilities

Yellow Horse is seeking a part-time, experienced Therapeutic Riding Instructor to join our program and support riders with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges through safe, engaging, and effective equine-assisted activities.
Responsibilities:

Plan and instruct therapeutic riding lessons tailored to individual rider needs
-
Ensure rider, horse, volunteer, and staff safety at all times

Assess rider progress and adapt lessons accordingly

Supervise volunteers during lessons

Maintain lesson documentation and communicate with families and staff

Assist with horse selection, care during lessons, and tack safety checks
Qualifications:
-
Certification through PATH Intl. (Registered, Advanced, or Master preferred) and/or CHA-IRD Instructor certification
-
Prior experience teaching therapeutic or adaptive riding
-
Strong horsemanship and horse-handling skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule:

Part-time, flexible hours (weekday and/or weekend availability preferred
