Seasonal Tent Install Crew

For the 2024 season, Sperry Tents is looking to hire tent installation crew. The right candidate will be willing to learn, enjoy working hard outdoors, and have a good attitude. Weddings, corporate events, backyard celebrations, etc. - simply put, we set up tents for events large and small. Great for anyone looking to get into the event industry, production, or lighting design. This position is seasonal and will run from early April until early November. Perfect for students or recent graduates looking for summer work.

Schedule and Compensation
40 Hours/Week + overtime opportunities
$16-20/Hour
Starting Pay is $16/Hour. An additional $1/Hour is paid with a valid CTDOT Certificate.

*We typically operate 7 days a week, but our schedule varies according to the events calendar. Flexibility and willingness to take initiative is necessary. There will be days that require early start times and/or finish late in the day. There will be days that we finish work early – however we always have projects ongoing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Load/unload trucks and trailers.
• Place/adjust ratchets.
• Hammer stakes/use whacker.
• Raise perimeter and center poles.
• Tighten Tent.
• Climb ladders.
• Add lighting and power.
• Carry and screw in floor panels.
• Hang and roll sides.
• Build arches and walkways.
• Drive trucks and trailers as needed.
• Maintain/clean rental items.
• On-sites

• Valid US Driver License AND reliable transportation to and from work
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• Able to work using your body (crouching, bending, kneeling, lifting, etc)
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
• Comfortable working in a small team or independently for long periods of time
• Able to listen carefully and think critically
• Respectful of others and the venues/properties we visit
