WHS Theatre "Cabaret"

Description

Westerly High School Theatre Scrapbook Company is pleased to announce Cabaret ’13:
 
“Through The Years”, a revue comprised of numbers taken from every musical that
 
Theatre Scrapbook produced throughout it's illustrious 32-year history. The show features
 
songs in chronological order of when they were performed, starting with numbers from
 
“Oklahoma” (’82,’02) and ending with selections from “Les Miserables.” (’12) Other
 
shows represented in the cabaret include: “Godspell” (’83), “Guys and Dolls” (’95),
 
“Oliver” (’96), “Grease” (’98), “The Wizard of Oz” (’99), “The Sound of Music” (’00),
 
“The Music Man” (’01), “Carousel” (’03), “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” (’04),
 
“My Fair Lady” (’05), “Sweeney Todd” (’11), and of course the title song from the
 
musical “Cabaret,” which has been a part of every Theatre Scrapbook Cabaret
 
(’82,’83,’84,’09,’09).
 
At the helm once again is founder of the Westerly High School Theatre Scrapbook
 
Company, David L. DeAngelis, Jr. Mr. DeAngelis serves as Artistic Director and
 
Executive Producer. Joining him for this production is Director Benjamin Barber,
 
Musical Director Heather Savage, and Choreographer Lisa Clough. The cast is made up
 
of WHS students from 9^th to 12^th grade, that have been rehearsing at least three nights a week since early February. ). They are Soprano 1; Erica Johnson, Zoe Prescott,
 
Erica Terranova, Soprano 2; Jillian DePerry, Maddie Douglas, Margo Douglas, Mary
 
Hurley, Michaela Pendola, Joshlyn Rinaldi, Alto; Adele Bonato, Virginia Duncan,
 
Morgan Harris, Eudeja Moore, Samantha Reed, Jamie Su, Tenor/Bass; Joe Cetrone, Chad
 
Dexter, Jacob Dowdal, Michael Oliver, Sean Oliver, Alex Sadler, Ricky Sherry, and
 
Harrison Svihla.Stage Manager is Sophomore Zach Prescott. Accompaniment for the
 
performances will be  provided by Heather Savage, piano, Gery Elliott, synthesizer, Mr.
 
John Savage, guitar, Michael Toole, bass, Mr. Curt Dumas, drums under the baton of Mr. “D”.
 
 
Cabaret ‘13 will be presented Friday May 10^th, Saturday May 11^th, and Sunday May 12^th.
 
All performances are at 8pm in the Westerly High School Cafeteria (Dinner theatre style
 
seating with tables of 8 & 10) Desserts are being prepared , sold and served by the WHS
 
Culinary Arts program under Chef Finklestein.. Tickets are $17 for Adults, and Senior
 
Citizens, $10 for Students and Children and can be purchased locally at D’Angelo’s of
 
Westerly at 85 Granite Street, or by calling the Box Office at 401-932-8711, or 401-315-1610.
