Savoy Bookshop & Café presents the first in its Savoy After Hours series, co-hosted by WRAP, featuring actors performing and staging scenes from Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire and Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. After the performance, actors and the director will answer questions and give background information about the process of staging these scenes.
This event is part of the Actors' Scene Study Workshop, led by professional writer and director Eugene J. Celico, artistic director for The Stage Door Theater Company in Westerly. Local actors Mary Sue Frishman, Lisa Clough and Patrick Cozzolino will perform the scenes, and the event is co-sponsored by WRAP (Westerly Regional Arts Partnership) as part of its WRAP Talks series. WRAP Talks is a series that celebrates arts, artists and ideas with performances, demonstrations and lectures with creators and innovators from throughout the region.
