Description
NOAA and Mystic Aquarium are teaming up for a hybrid evening of deep-sea exploration of seamounts for educators of grades 6 - 12 on Tuesday, October 25. From 4PM - 6:30PM, view a short video about seamounts, participate in an interactive question and answer section with a seamount expert, and get an introduction and demonstration of educational activities. Participants are invited back to Mystic Aquarium on November 12 for an exclusive tour of Mystic Aquarium's Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument, hands-on activity exploration, and a presentation from Senior Research Scientist and marine ecologist Dr. Peter Auster! Perfect for STEM educators and teachers interested in professional development, click the link below to register for this FREE event! Educators will receive content for review prior to the event, links to specific activities and additional resources, a NOAA Ocean Exploration Certificate of Participation, and a $75 stipend. Registrants must participate in all three parts in order to receive the certificate and stipend. Registration is required, and space is limited.
