Field Days at Mystic SeaportDescription
Field Days
November 23-24, 2012
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.House filled with kids and relatives for Thanksgiving? Visit Mystic Seaport and get all that excess energy out at Field Days!
Participate in 19th-century games on the Village Green, including hoops, stilts, and graces. Create your own puppet in our puppet-making workshop and explore the autumn sky under the Planetarium dome.
Sing along to rollicking songs of the sea in the "Tales and Tunes" family music program, explore interactive exhibits, and climb aboard the world's last wooden whaleship, the Charles W. Morgan, as she rests ashore in the shipyard undergoing restoration.
Enjoy the last of autumn's splendor while strolling through our 19th-century village. Try your hand at candlemaking and craft your own wooden toy boat keepsake (each workshop includes a $5 fee per person).
When it's time for lunch, stop by the Museum's Galley Restaurant for a quick and casual bite. Especially popular with families, the Galley offers informal tray service and a convenient location on the Village Green, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Enjoy sandwiches, fish and chips, burgers, and plenty of other selections.
Spend quality time with your family this Thanksgiving Day weekend at Mystic Seaport.
