FermenTour: Beverage Edition
Join us Saturday, November 4 for our first ever FermenTour: Beverage Edition. As part of our Culinary Excursion Program, we’ll visit local food and beverage artisans to get a behind the scenes in-depth look at the work that they do, exploring fermented beverages from spirits and beer to amazake and kombucha. The tour begins at the Yellow Farmhouse with an overview of mold based and lacto fermentation by Rich Shih, author of Koji Alchemy and Harry Rosenblum, author of Vinegar Revival. Next stop on the tour is a fermentation inspired lunch at the Treehouse in Mystic. Two more stops on the tour include Veritable Distillery and Grey Sail Brewing of Rhode Island, where drinks and fermented snacks will be featured. The tour begins and ends at the Yellow Farmhouse, 11am - 5pm, with transportation being provided on a yellow school bus. Tickets are $250. To register please go to https://www.yellowfarmhouse.org/
