Cottrell is kicking off CT Beer Week with its fourth annual Oktoberfest fest. The popular event, which includes free beer samples, live music by Low Brow Boys, delicious custom foods by Munchies Food truck, and cornhole games, will take place
Saturday October 11th from 3 to 6 PM at the Cottrell Brewery, 100 Mechanic St, Pawcatuck, CT. The event is free and open to the public (21+ only). It is also an opportunity to see the revamped tasting bar, which has recently had a makeover.
Oktoberfest beer is a traditional munich style festbier, with a complex malty flavor and aroma with a sweet, toasty taste. It is well-balanced, clean and smooth, with hints of caramel. Local artist, Susan Scala, created the design for the tap handle, and some of her limited edition Oktoberfest prints will be for sale.
Cottrell Brewing has been handcrafting flavorful, traditional beers in Pawcatuck, CT since 1997. We use only fresh, natural, quality ingredients to give our beers great flavor, body and depth. We have honed our craft and have grown steadily over the years. On top of our four year-round beers--Stonington Glory Pilsner, Mystic Bridge IPA, Perry’s Revenge Scotch Ale, and Old Yankee Amber Ale-- we brew special cask and barrel aged beers, and create new nano brews at our tasting bar each week. If you haven’t tried Cottrell , you are missing out on uniquely brewed, quality beers steeped in New England history and taste.Tell a Friend
