Pay: Up to $21.71 per hour
Summary of primary duties and responsibilities:
Removes empty beams from knitting machines and moves to beam storage area; Trucks new beams to the knitting machines as required. Operates hoists to position beams; Loads empty beams into cages as required. Doffs knitted rolls from the machine at prescribed yardage, slides a plastic sleeve over the fabric, securing each end with tape. Zeros the pick counter. Moves the roll on a jack truck to the electronic scale. Lifts the roll, aided by the monorail hoist onto the scale bed, and then to the carrier. Weights and records all pertinent data onto the piece ticket, running sheet and tension sheets. Cuts samples as required. Replaces the take-up sleeve at every doff, carefully starting the new roll, eliminating creases in the fabric.
Work schedule: 2nd shift -- 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Shift premium of $0.75)
3rd shift – 11:00pm to 7:00am (Shift premium of $1.20)
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OVERTIME WHEN REQUIRED.
Qualifications/Requirements: Must be able to read, write and do simple arithmetic. Requires frequent physical activity to include lifting heavy materials, climbing onto knitting machines, pushing and pulling heavy material
