Retail Cashier

Job Description:

Sea Well Seafood is a small family business where we care about our employees and respect each other. We specialize in fresh local fish, shellfish, and lobster. We pride ourselves on providing high quality seafood and excellent "small town" customer service.

We are currently hiring retail store clerks and shift leader trainees for our Fish Markets in Pawcatuck and Mystic Connecticut. We offer an upbeat and friendly environment. Our team is hardworking and fun. The day goes by quickly as there is always something to do. Our products are interesting and change with the seasons. (It's a lot like a deli job, except with fish)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be friendly, helpful, and polite while assisting customers.
• Prepare, package, weigh, portion/cut, and accurately price products.
• Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper rotation.
• Merchandise and stock product displays, fish cases and shellfish bar.
• Keep the store front clean, organized and stocked.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workstations.
• Run and balance a cash register.
• Be available to work on weekends and some holidays. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in customer service, food, or other related fields is helpful, but not required.
• 1 year cashier experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as a team with others.
• An outgoing and polite personality.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25lbs.
