    The Garde is looking for experienced House Managers as members of a part-time team of house managers for Garde events and performances in the 1400-seat Garde Theater, 110-seat Oasis Room and lobbies.

    House Manager Responsibilities include

    • Assigning and Overseeing Performance Volunteers including 
      • Ticket takers
      • Seat Ushers
      • Program Distributors
      • Aisle Captains
      • Lobby Monitors
    • Ensuring Safety Protocol and Other Theater Policies are Followed
    • Monitoring Cleanliness and Adequate House Supplies
    • Working with Bartenders, Security,  Production Personnel and Volunteers
    • Serving the Patrons
      • Assisting in seating
      • Providing special needs amenities
      • Informing patrons about downtown parking, dining, lodging, and area attractions
      • Surveying and monitoring patron feedback
    • Serving the Artists
      • Overseeing lobby merchandise sales
      • Managing artist meet-and-greets

    House Manager Skills include

    • Prior experience house managing in large public facilities
    • CPR and first-aid training a plus
    • Ability to delegate, train and direct
    • Patience, positive attitude and ability to effectively respond to multiple unexpected demands
    • Setting up tables, chairs and signage 
    • Cash handling and settlements
    • Facility with computer programs for data collection, scheduling and communication
    • Excellent customer relations and communications skills with diverse audiences
