Nestled along the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge, these preserves form nearly 500 acres of protected conservation lands. The pine needle covered trail that passes through pines and hardwoods is mostly level and soft. In Mill Pond, we’ll see remnants of a once thriving trout hatchery. Visit www.westerlylandtrust.org for details.
Directions: From Rte 1 travel north on Rte 2 to parking lot on left (just past Narrow Lane and Lewis Trail). After hiking here we will head south to Mill Pond – a left entrance before Hungry Haven.
