May is Military History Month. Join Capt. Teddy as we explore two of the forts used to defend our coastline: Fort Adams in Newport and Fort Wetherill in Jamestown. The Wetherill state park sits on the East Passage of Narragansett Bay opposite Fort Adams State Park. Fort Adams is a former United States Army post in Newport, Rhode Island that was established on July 4, 1799, as a First System coastal fortification. Cameras are encouraged! Please note, tickets purchased for this event are non-refundable. All social distancing and safety protocols will be in place.
