The European Mapping of Early New England
Matthew Edney, Osher Professor in the History of Cartography, Univ. of Southern Maine, and director of the History of Cartography Project, Univ. of Wisconsin, lectures about 16th-18th century maps that Europeans made, and discusses the role of Native people in creating colonial knowledge of the landscape. $10 for the lecture/$5 Museum members.
