About the Book

Have You Seen the Berry Monster is a rhyming picture book about two young children who come to realize that in order to solve the mystery of why their blueberries keep disappearing, they need to use science and inductive thinking. This colorful and engaging science inquiry format will provide parents, grandparents, and teachers, an opportunity to further explore animals and their habitats, the environment around them, and the concept of food chains in a way that makes exploring these topics fun. The Berry Monster will show children that they are already scientists for they make observations every day and in doing so, they will come to solve this mystery.

About the Author

Jane Carlson-Pickering was a K-College Educator for 34 years. Her career centered in the areas of Gifted & Talented Education, and in the Integration of Multiple Intelligences & Technology, specializing in the development of Science Curriculum for grades K-8. She and her husband have two grown children and reside in South County, Rhode Island.
