DESCRIPTION:2nd Annual Wings & Wishes Butterfly Garden sponsored by L&M Hospital and co-produced by the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce and the Westerly Lions Club.\n\nOn July 11\, 12\, and 13\, 2014\, 10am-5pm\, over 700 exotic butterflies will be on exhibit for the public at the Wings & Wishes Butterfly Garden at Pleasant Acres Nursery\, 130 Franklin Street in Westerly.  The event provides fabulous photo opportunities with these beautiful winged wonders\, and information about them.  Learn to identify 7 butterfly species and grow plants for your own butterfly garden.\n\nOther activities that are part of the event include:\n\nSave the Bay exhibit\, a local Beekeepers demonstration\, local animal and wildlife rescue exhibits\, facepainting\, and refreshments.\n\nStorytime with Madame Butterfly -  4 times each day\n\nDennison Pequotsepos Nature Center- wildlife animals\, owls\, snakes - July 11th & 12th from 2-4pm\n\nChildren's Workshop- planting station  -  July 12th from 10am-5pm\n\nBiomes Marine Biology Center-marine animals will be displayed  -  July 13th from 11am-3pm\n\nMystic Aquarium-touch tank with marine animals -  July 13th from 2-4pm\n\nAdmission is $6 for adults and $3 for children\n\n \n\nIn separate but related activity\, on Thursday\, July 10th at 7pm a special "Butterfly Release" event will take place where those who sponsor a butterfly at $20 can hold one in their hands white it awakens\, and then release it into the Butterfly Garden. The $20 sponsorship includes admission to this event with refreshments\, and a ticket that allows a return visit at any point during the 3 day event.
