His deepest influences are Merle Haggard\, Willie Nelson\, Hal Ketchum\, Jack Smith and The Rockabilly Planet\, Alison Krauss and Vince Gill. His own compositions are written from the perspective of a man who\, after growing up in California\, traveled far from home for months at a time\, over many years as a deck officer aboard large ships and later teaching math in high school and college.\n\nIn his performances\, Vince includes up tempo tunes and ballads\, original compositions and songs of others. Listeners will hear the impact of country and bluegrass in his music\, along with an assured\, smooth style that swings. When asked what kind of music do you play\, Vince answers "That's a trick question" But maybe "Americana Swing" comes close. Together with some of the finest musicians in New England\, Vince plays music that always has a big rhythm\, sounds great and makes you feel something.\n\nJoining Vince on rhythm guitar and vocals will be Bob Metzger on electric guitar and vocals\, Lou Bocciarelli on upright bass and Steve Peck on drums.
