DESCRIPTION:Karl Kenyon Smokey Bear Parade kicks off in Dunns Corners and travels through Westerly\, Charlestown\, Misquamicut and Watch Hill.\n\n	\n\n	The annual Smokey Bear Parade is scheduled for Thursday\, July 21@ 5:00PM. This event is sponsored by the Dunn's Corners Fire Department and its members. This is a great family event with fire prevention related goodies given out to the kids at all the stops and of course photo opportunities with Smokey Bear. 100's of children and families enjoy the parade each year. Come on out and help celebrate your local volunteer Fire Departments and EMS services.\n\n	\n\n	Many local fire departments are in attendance and past participants include Misquamicut FD\, Watch Hill FD\, Bradford FD\, Cross' Mills FD\, Charlestown-Richmond FD\, Hope Valley FD\, and RI DEM Forestry. Also Westerly Ambulance Corp.\, Charlestown Ambulance and Rescue\, and Ashaway Ambulance.\n\n	\n\n	It is a festive parade with all the emergency vehicles running with full lights and sirens through several areas in the Westerly and Charlestown districts.\n\n	\n\n	This year our Smokey Bear Parade is special - we're dedicating it to the memory of Deputy Chief Karl Kenyon.\n\n	\n\n	The parade will kick off sharply at 5:00pm from Dunn's Corners Fire Department Station #1 on Langworthy Rd. Residents from all towns are invited to join us on the parade route.
