Step back in time to Christmas Eve 1876 and meet the residents of the quaint village of Greenmanville. Both young and old will enjoy seasonal delights that include a traditional tavern dance\, a horse-drawn carriage ride and the beautiful glow of hundreds of lanterns that light the way. Surprises await you as you share the joys and celebrations of a traditional Victorian Christmas perhaps St. Nicholas will even pay a visit!\n\n	This 70-minute moving performance tour meanders through the Museum's 19th-century maritime village. The route covers approximately 1/2 mile of uneven terrain\, including cobblestone\, wood planking\, grass\, gravel\, and stairs. The audience will walk or stand for the entire production and are advised to wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. Visitors are asked to indicate the need for a handicap-accessible tour at the time of reservation.\n\n	Sign Language Interpreter Tours\n\n	The 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Red Tours on Saturday\, December 14\, have been set aside for deaf and hearing impaired visitors. A cast of almost 70 people\, including actors from Connecticut\, and neighboring states\, tells a heart-warming holiday story.\n\nThe Lantern Light Tour plot is changed every year and the writing and production planning begin in February.\n\nVisitors join a group of 16 to tour the Museum's 19th-century village on foot\, stopping at designated points to take in the next chapter in the story. As in years past\, this year's production will include a traditional tavern dance\, a sweet treat\, a horse-and-carriage ride\, and a visit from St. Nicholas. \n\nPerformances are November 30\, December 1\, 7\, 8\, 13\, 14\, 20\, 21\, 22 and 27.
