What distinguishes her career is the breadth of her work: she's written for children\, for educational institutions (ETS)\, for publishers (McGraw Hill\, Time/Life Books) and has had three nonfiction adult books published\, as well as many short stories and poems. Her current projects include board books\, and a series for children ages 4-8: Read to Rudy. With illustrations and photos\, Read to Rudy shares the heartfelt story of how Rudy became a working therapy dog who helps children learn to read. Jean became an Indie author this past year and founded Salt Cove Publications her own press. Her first two board book titles are What Do Toes Do? and What Does Your Nose Do?
