DESCRIPTION:The Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly has just taken a creative journey from Chaos to Calm as it moved and transformed the Westerly Train Station into its new home. \n\nCome celebrate the journey\, and its results\, at the Opening Reception for our new show\, "Chaos to Calm\," exploring Balance\, on Friday\, September 7th\, from 5   8 PM. \n\n \n\nWith acrylic paints\, collage and resin\, featured artist Lois Lawrence transforms images from nature\, memory and fantasy into vibrant abstract and representational paintings sealed in a crystal-clear\, glass-like finish. \n\n \n\nFeatured artist Nancy Nielsen's unique photographic perspective takes viewers on a kaleidoscopic journey into color and light\, as she creates richly textured images that inspire wonder in the viewer. \n\n \n\nWork in a variety of media by other Gallery artists exploring the show's theme will also be on view.
