DESCRIPTION:Blessing of the Carousel - Sunday June 10\, 2012 - The Sea Dragon\n\n	This year the Blessing of the Carousel will take place on Sunday June 10th from 1-3pm. The Rev. Casey Shobe from St. Peter's by the Sea in Narragansett will officiate. With the purchase of a carousel ticket\, children will vie for the chance to name this year's Blessed creature the Sea Dragon! The carousel will be Blessed by Reverend Casey following activities there is a raffle of the tickets purchased. The selected ticket will Bless the Sea Dragon with an official name. We kindly ask that the names reflect the imagination and creativity of a child and avoid those promoted in the media. \nFace Painting with Janice Causey is FREE with the purchase of any size Burdick's Ice Cream cone/cup.\n\nAdventureland's goal is to have each of the creatures blessed over the years to come by those children who enjoy it most . This is our second year to hold the event. Last year's event our Black Stallion was blessed "Shine" and the ride was dedicated to Raymond "Poppy" Kells who passed away in 2009. It is a fun filled day for the entire family
