• Small Business Satruday

The day after Thanksgiving has been known as “Black Friday” as customers traditionally head out in force to start their holiday shopping.  Many national chains have special door busters and sales that draw customers away from downtowns and independently owned businesses.  To help reverse this trend, “Small Business Saturday” is celebrated 2 days after Thanksgiving, and its focus is on shopping small, and shopping local.  This day is about finding unique treasures, and getting personal service from folks who appreciate your business the most. Help keep your community in business by keeping your business in the community!  Throughout November 28, our chamber of commerce will be awarding $10 gift certificates to customers we “catch” in the act of making a purchase at a small business.  $200 will be awarded to members of the community as part of The Chamber’s “thank you” for supporting small business.
